たけだ美術は、このたび移転後初となる展覧会を開催いたします。

新たな空間での第一弾となる本展では、戦後日本美術における抽象表現の流れをご紹介いたします。
彩色、形象、描写といった絵画の既成概念を問い直しながら、表現の新たな可能性を切り拓いたミニマリズムおよびモノクロームの潮流は、戦後美術の中でも重要な位置を占めています。
本展では、斎藤義重をはじめ、高松次郎、李禹煥、菅木志雄らによる平面・立体作品を中心に、1960年代から1980年代にかけて展開された戦後抽象表現をご覧頂きます。それぞれの作品を通して、簡潔な造形の中にある思考や感覚、そして物質と空間に向けられた視点をご紹介できればと考えております。

また、本年はたけだ美術にとって創業30周年の節目の年にもあたります。
新スペースは以前と比べ、展示スペースも広く、大作もゆったりご覧頂けます。
アートフェアのブース空間で展示していた作品も、今後は企画点の軸として参ります。

Gallery New Space Opening Exhibition
MINI×MONO
 
Takeda Art Co. is pleased to present its first exhibition in the gallery’s new space following its recent relocation.

As the inaugural presentation in this new setting, the exhibition focuses on a key trajectory in postwar Japanese abstraction.
Emerging through a reexamination of the conventions of painting—color, image, and depiction—Minimalism and monochrome opened up new possibilities for artistic expression and came to play a significant role in the development of postwar art.
Featuring paintings and sculptures by Yoshishige Saito, Jiro Takamatsu, Lee Ufan, Kishio Suga, and others, the exhibition traces the unfolding of postwar abstract expression from the 1960s through the 1980s.

This year also marks the 30th anniversary of Takeda Art Co.
Compared to the previous location, the new gallery offers a more expansive exhibition space, allowing larger works to be experienced with greater openness. Works that were previously shown primarily in the context of art fair booths will now also be presented as a central part of the gallery’s exhibition program.
